Repurposed Bridal Valance
I found the perfect bridal gown train to work as a window treatment in my bedroom. The dress train had at least 15 rows of sheer curly ruffles. I cut off the last three rows to create a valance. First I covered a 51", 1" x 2" board with batting and then dress satin. Next I draped the ruffling along the board top and stapled it in place. The decorated board now sets on brackets above my window. This project took less than an hour and was a no sew project.
